Dancehall artiste Alkaline is refuting the claims made by the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) that he is wanted for questioning in murder.

On Tuesday the JCF announced in a press release that Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Branch Headquarters were seeking the “Badness It Name” deejay, real name Earlan Bartley for questioning in relation to the murder of Rohan Morris.

It is believed that the Vendetta deejay can assist them with the investigations. Alkaline was also asked to report to the Area 4 Headquarters, Harman Barracks in Vineyard Town, Kingston 2 by 5:00 p.m., on Wednesday, February 8.

However on Tuesday night, Alkaline took to his official Facebook page to dismiss the claims, calling it a “Big Lie.”

“There is a rumor circulating. Regarding Alkaline , Earlan Bartley, and questioning for murder,” Alkaline wrote. “Please ignore, this is one of the most cruel, vicious, destructive, degrading, sera gator you, ruthless lie, I have ever experience in my 23 years of existence. I am asking my fans to be calm, relax ,I am in no form of mix up with any form of illegal activities of any sort. And I declare innocence in all its entirety ,I am therefore asking the media personal to desist from spreading rumors on me unnecessarily.. BIG LIE!!!! Alkaline!! Try again!!,” he added.
